Director of Operations
Petrona Jerome is a passionate, affordable housing strategist with over 14 years of portfolio management expertise. Ms. Jerome’s experience in affordable housing management is fueled by a deep commitment to elevating community living standards. At the Trenton Housing Authority (THA), she oversees housing operations. Ms. Jerome consistently demonstrates great leadership skills in challenging and complex environments. She adeptly manages crises and adapts to change while exceeding performance goals.
Prior to joining THA, Ms. Jerome gained core competencies in property management through various roles at the New York City Housing Preservation Department, Clinton Management, and the Advocacy Center of Queens County.
Petrona’s passion for housing extends to professional development. She is a lifelong learner, constantly seeking ways to meaningfully expand her skill set and contribute. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Baruch College, City University of New York, and a master’s degree in real estate development and finance from Georgetown University. Additionally, she holds several certifications in asset management, tax credits, occupancy, etc.
While dedicated to her work, Ms. Jerome believes in a healthy work-life balance. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and pursuing intellectual pursuits through reading.
