Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) Program Manager

The Housing Authority of the City of Trenton, New Jersey, is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated candidate for the position of Choice Neighborhood Initiative (CNI) Program Manager. The CNI Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Redevelopment and will be responsible for managing and ensuring coordination of the implementation of the Choice Neighborhood Donnelly Homes North Trenton Battle Monument Neighborhood Transformation Plan.  Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring detailed work plans, budgets, reporting systems and communication protocols to ensure timely completion of Transformation Plan goals and objectives in compliance with HUD and other regulatory agency requirements.  A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in real estate development, urban planning, engineering, business administration, project management or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years experience working in urban planning, real estate development, affordable housing, community development, or social work administration. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Redevelopment Project Coordinator

The Housing Authority of the City of Trenton, New Jersey, is looking for a highly organized and self-motivated candidate for the position of Redevelopment Project Coordinator. Assistant Housing Manager

The Trenton Housing Authority is seeking a qualified candidate for Assistant Housing Manager. This position reports to an Asset Manager and is responsible for  administrative and supervisory work related to the operation of affordable rental housing developments owned and/or managed by THA.  An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in social services, public administration or related and a minimum of three (3) years  of experience in subsidized housing programs or social services case management is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license. Maintenance Repairer

Trenton Housing Authority is currently seeking an energetic and motivated Maintenance Repairer to join our team.  This individual will be responsible for maintenance and repair of THA property, including reconditioning of vacant units for occupancy, and completion of work orders involving basic painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs and other related tasks. This individual may also be responsible for after-hour and emergency on-call coverage.  The position requires that the applicant possess a High School diploma or GED, and a minimum of two (2) years experience in the repair and maintenance of residential properties or construction services. A low-pressure boiler operator license is preferred. A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required.  Candidates who wish to be considered for this position will also be required to pass a basic maintenance aptitude test.

Building Maintenance Worker

Trenton Housing Authority is currently seeking an energetic and motivated individual for the position of Building Maintenance Worker. Under direction, the incumbent will be required to perform simple and moderately physically strenuous tasks involving cleaning and maintaining building and grounds, assisting in making minor repairs, and other duties as assigned. The position requires the applicant to possess a High School diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a maintenance person. Complete your pre-application

During this phase, we confirm your eligibility with a series of background questions so we can place you on the list for one of our communities.

Complete your full application

When you are at the top of the housing list, we work with you to confirm all HUD and THA eligibility factors. All adult family members living in household must complete personal declaration and information release forms. Then you get to meet with THA staff to review, finalize and sign your application. Once you’re approved, we can schedule your move in!
